To achieve an accessible and healthy city center of Venlo the peak demands of travel and parking facilities are inventoried.
In collaboration with Kragten, 6 different traveler characteristics were investigated, navigating from familiar to unfamiliar terrain, from time-poor to time-rich and frequent to sporadic travel and/or parking in the city center. The travel and parking behavior of visitor flows has been investigated and made transparent.
With insight into travel behavior, the efficiency and nuisance of different scenarios and solutions are calculated in advance. We look at the travel considerations of visitors to the central area of Venlo from the point of view of the objectives of the city and the entrepreneurs in the center. This provides insight into which measures improve visitor experiences while contributing to the objectives of the city and entrepreneurs.
Legitimacy and cost-efficiency are therefore an insightful factor from the very first stage of research, which speeds up decision-making.
