153 years of experience As a family business

Terberg has 153 years of experience in the automotive industry. More than 1500 vehicles are produced annually for more than 130 countries. They are therefore rightly proud of their entrepreneurial spirit and innovative reliable products for the specialized markets.

Terberg Benschop has experienced strong growth in recent years, partly due to the growth of online shopping. Which in turn creates more distribution centers. This growth has increased production capacity and you need people for that. The company now has 400 employees. This growth has ensured – despite the already large parking space on the site – that there is still a shortage of parking spaces. This entails the necessary challenges, such as the increased parking pressure in the village.

Terberg says that as a company they are inextricably linked to the village. “As a good neighbour, we think it is important to take our responsibility. That is why we asked Livemobility on behalf of Goedopweg to carry out a mobility scan. This scan offers a good starting point to see what the possible solutions are. To reduce both traffic pressure and parking pressure,” says Gert-Jan van Hilten, marketing manager at Terberg Benschop.

Together with Livemobility, Terberg Benschop has come up with the following four measures:

A bicycle plan. This consists of an electric bicycle plan, pool bicycles and a personal budget to purchase your own bicycle. More bicycles, fewer cars.
Home work policy. Work from home where possible. This policy requests that you work from home two out of five days. That saves a lot of cars and is a lot more sustainable.
More parking spaces to be built on the site, where possible.
Better guidance to and on site. By guiding the vehicles to the right entrance, this saves a lot of congestion in the village.

Mobility scan

When you register as a company for the scan, you provide information about your organization. Goedopweg gets to work and an interactive mobility scan will take place within two weeks. You can calculate different scenarios in real time and choose which measures fit best.

In the scan, Goedopweg analyzes the current way of commuting by employees and we calculate where the opportunities lie for smarter, more sustainable, cheaper and healthier travel. After the scan, you and the advisor discuss the advice and support that fits your policy and how you can best use the new measures.

For each company, the priority of a new mobility policy can be different, depending on the objectives of your company. For example, it can contribute to CO2 objectives, attractive employership, cost savings and much more.
